Miami Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills revealed he has received “five to 10” death threats on social media since he criticized team owner Steve Ross for holding a fundraiser for President Donald Trump, the Miami Herald is reporting.
Stills had publicly questioned a fundraiser Ross was holding at his home in Southampton, New York on Friday. Tickets cost as much as $250,000.
“If you’re going to associate with bad people, then people are going to know about it,” Stills said. “I think there’s ways you can support candidates without it being so public and without it being at your personal, private residence. I put it out there so everybody could see it.”
As for the anonymous death threats, Stills said: “It is what it is. I’ll be OK.”
