'Duck Dynasty' Petition Site Back Up

By    |   Tuesday, 24 December 2013 07:04 AM EST

Twitter users can again make use of the URL iStandwithPhil.com to show their support for "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson.

It was reported Monday night that Twitter had shut down the petition link run by Faith Driven Consumer, according to the The Hollywood Reporter. But it was restored early Tuesday and Twitter said the blocking was due to an error with a third-party service it uses to stop spam links.

"The URL IStandWithPhil.com was mistakenly flagged as spam tonight by an outside organization that tracks spam sources. We have restored access and apologize for the error," Twitter said in an emailed statement, according to Marketing Land.

Robertson was put on hiatus from the popular reality cable show last week after saying in a GQ interview that homosexuality is a sin and that black people he knew in Louisiana were happy before the Civil Rights Movement.
