Some 51 percent of Wisconsin voters disapprove of President Donald Trump's job performance, with only 41 percent approving, a new Marquette Law School poll released Wednesday reveals.
The number of voters who disapprove is up 4 percent since Marquette's last survey was conducted in March.
Trump's highest approval numbers came from the Green Bay area, where 51 percent of respondents approve of his job performance. In Milwaukee, Trump scored just 14 percent approval.
Party affiliation revealed a huge split in the poll with 85 percent of Republicans approving of how the president is performing and 95 percent of Democrats disapproving.
The poll, conducted between June 22-25, quizzed 800 registered voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 4.5 percentage points and the poll sample was an even 45 percent — 45 percent of Republicans and Democrats.
