Florida Pentecostal Pastor Paula White-Cain, spiritual advisor to President Trump and head of the White House’s Faith and Opportunity Initiative, told Newsmax TV’s "The Chris Salcedo Show" that faith leaders today have ready and frequent access to the Trump Administration.
“I know people who have gone all the way back to working with Reagan and they say there has never been this kind of access,” she said.
“Everyone campaigns. They stop at your church or bring you to special events. After the campaign, after the election, that’s the end of it,”
However, she noted, President Trump and administration officials regularly speak with religious leaders often on “faith calls,” including an hour-long call Friday with about 30 leaders.
“It was everyone from Muslim to Catholic to Latter Day Saints to Jewish to Christian. It included all people of worship looking at how we can begin to open up our houses of worship. The president really wanted advice and wanted to hear from all faiths.”
During this time of COVID-19, she said, “We are talking a lot about faith over fear. We want to encourage the nation that during very uncertain times, we serve a certain God. There is hope and there will be an end to this.”
