Friday, 13 February 2015 09:48 PM EST

Federal prosecutors have subpoenaed state records and electronic communications relating to departing Gov. John Kitzhaber, his fiancée Cylvia Hayes and 15 others in Kitzhaber's administration.

The subpoena was served on Thursday and obtained by The Associated Press late Friday. The subpoena seeks data from a list of state agencies and private companies since 2009. It also asks for email communications during the same time period for people in the governor's office.

Prosecutors also asked for records of payments to Hayes and her company 3E Strategies.

The subpoena orders the agency to appear before a federal grand jury on March 10.
