Obama Predicts Michigan St. to Win NCAA Basketball Title

President Obama thinks Michigan St will win the NCAA men's basketball college championship.

As announced on ESPN, Obama's Final Four picks for the NCAA tournament, which starts this week, are: Michigan State, Arizona, Florida and Louisville.

Obama picked Michigan State to knock off top-ranked Florida to advance to the final against Louisville, which he predicted would beat Arizona.

Of course, not everyone thinks the president should be taking time to publicly fill out his NCAA bracket. In an open letter to the president, Mediaite's Clark Young fills out his own bracket of 16 reasons the president should bypass the big dance this year.

Among the reasons:

• "You’re really busy.
• "You are inviting the media headache.
• "When you share the ins and outs of obscure teams, it makes us wonder when/if you work.
• "Let’s face it: There’s far graver madness this March.
• "Oh, and you stink at it," Young writes.

As president, Obama has correctly predicted the winner only once, when North Carolina won in 2009.

To advance in the first round, Obama has Michigan State defeating Delaware, the university in Vice President Joe Biden's home state.

"I think going against Michigan State is pretty tough," Obama told ESPN in outlining his tournament bracket. "I'll let Biden fill out his own bracket. If he wants to pick Delaware over Michigan State, I'll let him do it."

No word on whether the president entered Warren Buffet's challenge. The billionaire investor is offering $1 billion for a perfect March Madness bracket.
