NYT Twitter Hack: 'Russia Will Attack US With Missiles'

By    |   Sunday, 22 January 2017 12:53 PM EST

Hacks of The New York Times Video Twitter account tweeted out now-deleted tweets Sunday – including "BREAKING: leaked statement from Vladimir Putin says: Russia will attack the United States with Missiles" – as The Hill reported.

The Times video account responded after deleting the tweets by 10 a.m. ET.

OurMine responded with another hacked tweet on that account, though, taking credit for the Times hack, according to the report: "Message from OurMine to @nytvideo: contact us to tell you how to fix the issue."

That tweet has also been deleted.

OurMine has conducted and taken credit for a number of prominent social-media hacks in an attempt to promote a security service.
