Paul Telegdy, the chairman of NBC’s entertainment division, is reportedly being investigated for creating a toxic work environment and engaging in racist, sexist and homophobic behavior, Deadline reports.

“NBCUniversal takes these matters seriously, and will investigate these allegations, many of which are coming to our attention for the first time,” the company said in a statement to Deadline Friday. “NBCUniversal remains committed to creating a safe, respectful and supportive workplace for all.”

The probe follows allegations from dozens in the entertainment industry that Telegdy created a toxic work environment.

On June 4, actress Gabrielle Union filed a complaint with the state of California’s fair employment office alleging racism, sexism and a toxic work environment on the set of “America’s Got Talent.”

She said Telegdy had threatened to silence her during the course of an ongoing probe into workplace practices on set. Sharon Osbourne told the Hollywood Reporter later that Telegdy threatened her in 2012 when she told him her family was considering holding a press conference to protest NBC’s dismissal of her son Jack from a reality show.

“He said, ‘Go f--k yourself,’” Osbourne told THR. “If you call the press you’ll never work in this town, you fucking witch.’”

Telegdy in a statement denied the allegations.

“The nature of these allegations flies in the face of everything I stand for,” he said. “I hope that my actions over decades — empowering those around me, supporting artists, and creating shows with values of aspiration and inclusion at the core — speak louder than the selective words of a few.”
