Authorities discovered multiple bodies at a house outside Atlanta on Tuesday after being called there to check on a resident who had not shown up for work, police said.
After a preliminary look at the house, it was not immediately clear how many people were dead there, although there were more than two bodies and their deaths did not appear to be accidental, said Paulding County Sheriff's Office spokesman Corporal Ashley Henson.
It appeared likely that the deaths at the house in Douglasville, about 25 miles west of Atlanta, were the result of a murder-suicide, and authorities were not looking for any suspects, Henson said.
After obtaining a search warrant, investigators were conducting an examination of the scene, Henson said.
