President Donald Trump took a jab at Sen. Mitt Romney in a Monday morning tweet for participating in a protest over the weekend.

Trump shared a video of the Utah Republican marching with protesters in Washington D.C. over the weekend. He commented, “Tremendous sincerity, what a guy,” Trump tweeted about Romney. “Hard to believe, with this kind of political talent, his numbers would ‘tank’ so badly in Utah!”

Romney shared photos from the march on Twitter. In the video posted on social media, he said he was protesting to end “violence, and brutality, and to make sure people understand that Black Lives Matter.”

Romney also tweeted a photo of his father taken in the 1960s. His dad was marching with civil rights protesters when he was the governor of Michigan.

He captioned the image, "This is my father, George Romney, participating in a Civil Rights march in the Detroit suburbs during the late 1960s. He added a quote from his father.

“Force alone will not eliminate riots,” he said. “We must eliminate the problems from which they stem.”

People across the country have been protesting anti-police brutality measures after George Floyd, a black man, was killed by a white police officer in Minneapolis.

The New York Times reports that Romney will not support Trump's re-election.
