Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is looking to buy a share of the New York Yankees, FanRag Sports is reporting.
The baseball team is valued around $3 billion. Romney and his son, Tagg, are in talks to spend as much as $60 million for a small stake in the team, according to the website.
Word of their interest came after the two were said to have offered $1.4 billion months ago to buy the Miami Marlins. But FanRag reported that deal appears to be off the table for now.
The Romney family also showed interest, at one point, in buying the Los Angeles Dodgers before that team was eventually sold, FanRag reported.
