Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz was seen Monday at the site in Minneapolis where Renee Good was fatally shot during an ICE-related enforcement operation.
The shooting, which occurred as Good, called by President Donald Trump a "professional agitator," was trying to obstruct federal immigration action, is now under full FBI jurisdiction, with federal authorities leading the investigation.
State law enforcement agencies, including Minnesota officials, have not been granted access to all evidence at this time.
Walz has publicly called for greater transparency and state involvement in the investigation, saying Minnesotans deserve a full accounting of the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
He has also urged calm amid protests and heightened tensions following the incident.
Walz was accompanied by his wife at the scene.
Federal officials have not announced whether the ICE agent involved will face charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
