Monday, 21 April 2014 02:49 PM EDT

First lady Michelle Obama loves being in front of the television cameras these days.

After filming guest stints on ABC’s Nashville and NBC’s Parks and Recreations, she’ll now appear on the Disney Channel tween comedy Jessie, TV Guide reported.

In the episode scheduled for May 16, Mrs. Obama is enlisted to help Jessie (Debby Ryan) when she throws a birthday party for a young girl whose mother is deployed in the military overseas.

The appearance is part of the first lady’s Joining Forces initiative to help military personnel, veterans, and their families, across the country. She has taped a public service announcement to accompany the episode.

On Thursday, Mrs. Obama will also be playing herself on the season finale of Park and Recreation, a sitcom starring Amy Poehler.

And in an episode titled "All Or Nothing With Me" and set at Fort Campbell, the first lady will be guesting, via video, on the country music drama Nashville, which she also agreed to as a Joining Forces promotion.

The Associated Press reports Mrs. Obama and the wife of Vice President Joe Biden, Jill Biden, are scheduled to visit the Army base in Kentucky on Wednesday to address a jobs summit and career forum for service members, veterans and their spouses.
