More than 200 radio stations will carry conservative talk show host Michael Savage's "The Savage Nation" program when it moves from evenings to the coveted drive time slot on Jan. 1, Cumulus Media Networks announced.
Top radio stations that will carry Savage's show in the 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time slot include WABC in New York, WLS in Chicago, WMAL in Washington, KSFO in San Francisco, and WBAP in Dallas.
Savage, the author of 28 books including six New York Times best-sellers, is "the conservative king of storytelling and has moved millions with his candid insights, humor, and versatility," Cumulus said in a release.
"The Savage Nation" is also the number one streamed talk radio show on the Internet. "This is the culmination of two decades in talk radio," Savage said. "I was born for drivetime where my pace matches that of America.
"Everyone dreams of being on the Cumulus powerhouse signals. This is my dream come true."
