Calling out the "fraud" of communism for only creating "equal misery," Miami Mayor Francis Suarez hails his city as welcoming those from disenfranchised from South America, New York, or California.

"We benefit from other areas' dysfunctions," Mayor Suarez told Sunday's "The Cats Roundtable" WABC 770 AM-N.Y. "If you're a government and you're not treating your citizens the way that you should — you're not protecting them, you're over taxing them, or, worse, in some of these South American countries that are communist, you're taking away their property, taking away their businesses – you create a scenario . . . imprisoning, sometimes without due process people who oppose the government, you give people no choice but to leave."

Suarez, a Cuban American and the first Miami-born mayor of the city, added to host John Catsimatidis that "communism is one of the biggest frauds perpetuated on humanity; it's a lie."

"The only equality it has created over time is equal misery," he said. "That's the only equality that it's actually established."

Miami not only is a destination for disenfranchised immigrants, but Americans seeking to flee blue states such as California and New York, Suarez added.

"Our arms are open in Miami," Suarez said. "It's a two-hour flight. You're going to save a tremendous amount on your cost of living. You're going to save a tremendous amount of taxes. You're going to have the best quality of life and be able to buy a property at a fraction of the price [of New York].

"And you don't have to sacrifice or suffer, because all the financial companies are now moving to Miami, and all the venture-capital companies that are in Silicon Valley are also moving. We're going to be the most dynamic and attractive city to create a company, and to build a life, and to raise your children."
