U.S. border patrol agents in Arizona found 67 pounds of marijuana inside a casket on Saturday, Business Insider reported.
The drugs were packed under manure and valued at more than $33,000. The casket was inside a hearse being driven by a 28-year-old man, who was pulled over after agents working an immigration checkpoint noticed his vehicle twice in the same day. The second time they saw him he turned west ahead of the checkpoint.
After finding inconsistencies in the driver's story, agents asked if they could have a canine unit conduct a sniff test of the vehicle.
Their findings were not odd considering the creative ways drug traffickers have used to get drugs into the U.S. Over the last year, agents have found marijuana packaged as carrots and watermelons and hidden among limes and in a shipment of cucumbers, according to Business Insider.
