Actor and actress Kevin and Sam Sorbo, who star in the movie "Hope Bridge," about a young man who is considering taking his own life, say that so many people are afraid to talk about suicide.
"I remember talking with one of the producers [of the movie] who had lost his wife to suicide, and he said after the suicide, people were afraid to talk to him," Sam Sorbo told John Bachman on "Newsmax Now" on
Newsmax TV on Friday.

"It was almost as if he'd become a pariah just because they didn't know what to do with it," she explained. "It wasn't that they weren't sympathetic . . . they were afraid to even sort of approach him about it."
"There's definitely a stigma attached," she said.
"That's what this film is trying to do. It's trying to start the conversations so that we're not so afraid to talk about it," she added.
Kevin Sorbo explained that "just like taxes, death is inevitable and everybody's uncomfortable dealing with that reality once it becomes something that is right in front of us."
