New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is set to appear on Jimmy Fallon's "Tonight Show" this week in his first late-night appearance since the Bridge-gate scandal broke in January.
NBC announced Monday that the Republican will be appearing Thursday night,
NJ.com reports.
"The Tonight Show" website doesn't list Christie as a guest on Thursday, but the governor has appeared in the
"Slow Jam the News" and other skits in the past when Fallon hosted "Late Night."

Christie has not appeared on Fallon's program since the fallout over closures of the George Washington Bridge were linked to members of his staff. He was reported to have been personally hurt when one of his musical heroes, Bruce Springsteen, appeared with Fallon to lampoon the situation, and was unable to even watch the parody.
Springsteen and Fallon,
both dressed as '80s-era Springsteen, sang "Governor Chris Christie's Fort Lee, New Jersey Traffic Jam" to the tune of Springsteen's classic hit "Born to Run."
Lyrics to the parody song included: "They shut down the tollbooths of glory 'cause we didn't endorse Chris Christie."

Thursday's show also will feature comedian Chris Rock and musical guest Kacey Musgraves.
