Jennifer Grey is on the verge of having the time of her life for the second time, if you count “Dirty Dancing” from 23 years ago and the finals of “Dancing With the Stars” tonight, when a top Vegas oddsmaker gives her 7-5 chances of dancing off with the Mirror Ball. Because now, as then, nobody puts Baby in a corner, although Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin would like to.

Grey incorporated a watermelon into her performance Monday night as she and partner Derek Hough channeled “Do You Love Me” from “Dirty Dancing.” But Massey and Palin also have hungry eyes for the trophy on the line for the ABC-TV show’s finale in the still of the night tonight. Wynn Las Vegas oddsmaker John Avello, who gives Grey the 7-5 odds to win, puts Massey’s chances at 9-5 and Palin’s, at 3-1.
Palin, who allegedly has been the target of death threats and who has rebutted tales that Sarah Palin’s Mama Grizzlies have ramped up the public voting to keep her on the show, fares better with the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s radio and TV blogger. Although Rodney Ho opined that Palin turned in her best performance Monday night, he mirrors Avello’s 3-1 odds — but also gives Massey the same odds. He slots Grey at even odds to win.
BTW, before the competition, Ho gave Grey a 10-1 chance of winning; Palin, 100-1; and Massey, 125-1.
