The Republican won, so Hollywood's liberal activists are now calling for a boycott in Georgia.
Actress Alyssa Milano tweeted Republican gubernatorial winner Brian Kemp "isn't the best best choice for the people," so she would like to see the 20 movie crews in Georgia boycott.
"There are over 20 productions shooting in Georgia," Milano tweeted. "Is the entertainment industry willing to support the economy of a totally corrupt state that suppresses democracy; where the winner isn't the best choice for the people but the best schemer or crook?"
The liberal activism campaign with Hollywood started with the liberal activism in journalism even before Kemp had won.
If Kemp wins in Georgia, Hollywood should put its money where its mouth is and pull all production out of the state," writer Frank Rich tweeted election night.
Ron Perlman was among those in Hollywood willing to answer Rich's call.
"To all my friends who are studio and network executives, if you choose to shoot movies and TV in Georgia, don't bother to call me," Perlman tweeted.
Hollywood has circulated the hashtag #boycottgeorgia as their liberal candidate Stacey Abrams announced Friday she would no longer challenge the Georgia Secretary of State's election results. The boycott is something even Abrams would not get behind.
"I appreciate the calls to action, but I ask all of our entertainment industry friends to support #FairFightGA – but please do not #boycottgeorgia," she tweeted. "The hard-working Georgians who serve on crews & make a living here are not to blame. I promise: We will fight – and we will win."
