Far from Jersey, Christie Is at Green Bay to Cheer Cowboys

Sunday, 11 January 2015 01:03 PM EST

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is at Lambeau Field to cheer his beloved Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs against the Green Bay Packers.

Christie exchanged a hug and handshake with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones during warmups about 45 minutes before kickoff Sunday. He posed for pictures on the Dallas sideline near the 35-yard line.

Jones has referred to Christie as his team's "mojo" because Dallas has won the last five games Christie has attended wearing an orange sweater for good luck.

No sign of the orange sweater before the game Sunday. Christie wore a heavy overcoat when on the field.

Christie's office has said the governor would again sit in the owner's box with Jones.
