Family Gathers to Bury Liz Taylor at LA Cemetery

GLENDALE, California (AP) — News helicopters swarmed overhead and camera crews lined up in preparation for Elizabeth Taylor's funeral service at a California cemetery famous for being the final resting place of Hollywood celebrities.

Police spokesman Tom Lorenz said Forest Lawn Cemetery officials called to request police assistance for the afternoon service.

Lorenz said about four dozen family members are expected to attend the funeral, and there will be no procession for the screen legend.

Taylor died early Wednesday of congestive heart failure at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical center, where she had been hospitalized for about six weeks.

The cemetery is the final resting place for Taylor's good friend Michael Jackson and other stars like Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, W.C. Fields, Red Skelton, Gracie Allen, Walt Disney and Nat King Cole.
