Trump: 'Maybe Something Miraculous Happens' and Obama Will Succeed

Donald Trump disagrees with President Barack Obama on quite a bit of policy, but that doesn't mean he wants to see him fail.

"I'd like to see him succeed, as an American, No. 1," Trump said Monday on Fox News Channel's "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren."

But, the billionaire real estate developer said, "I think it's hard to turn it around."

The public is increasingly becoming unhappy with Obama's performance, with a recent Associated Press-GfK poll showing that more than half of Americans don't think the administration is able to protect the public's personal safety or economic security.

And "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd on Sunday listed seven failures of the administration over the past 18 months.

But, Trump told Van Susteren, "Nothing's impossible. Maybe something miraculous happens."

A big part of Obama's problem, though, is lack of interest in the job, Trump said.

"I've been watching him, and he really looks tired. He looks disjointed, from that standpoint of mentally like he's just not into it," he told Van Susteren. "I don't think he likes the job at all. I think he's looking forward to being freed."

Former President Bill Clinton and others loved the job, he said, and it showed.

"You're not going to do well unless you love it," Trump said. "I don't think he loves it, and he certainly doesn't do it well."
