Stars from the 90's hit comedy series "Seinfeld" will host a virtual event Friday to fundraise for Texas Democrats, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and show creator Larry David will discuss their favorite episodes from the iconic sitcom, which lasted over nine seasons and 180 episodes.
The event will be live-streamed at 8 p.m. ET on txdem.co/Something with a VIP reception kicking off at 7:30 p.m. A donation is required to gain access.
Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump by just 1 percentage point, according to a poll released Monday by progressive firm Data for Progress, but Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, is 3 percentage points ahead of Democrat challenger M.J. Hegar.
"Texas is a battleground state, period," Louis-Dreyfus, Alexander, and David wrote in a joint statement about the Seinfeld reunion. "We knew that we had to reunite for something special and the movement on the ground for Texas Democrats up and down the ballot is the perfect opportunity to do just that.
"Texans are getting out to vote in droves and showing the world that Texas has never been a red state, it's been a non-voting state. We couldn't be more thrilled to host a 'fundraiser about something' for a terrific organization like the Texas Democratic Party, who are building the movement necessary to turn Texas blue in 14 days."
