Obama to Letterman: We Could 'Swap Stories' in Retirement

By    |   Monday, 04 May 2015 10:38 PM EDT

President Barack Obama stopped by "The Late Show" on Monday for one last visit before host David Letterman retires later this month.

Letterman asked Obama about his own plans when he leaves office in January 2017.

"I was thinking you and me, we could play some dominoes together," Obama said. "We can go to the local Starbucks and swap stories."

"I plan to teach law at Columbia," Letterman said later.

"I'd be interested to sit in on that class," Obama laughed. "I mean, I bet that would be a hoot."
