Key Catholic Vote Was Draw Between Trump, Biden

President Trump and Democrat nominee Joe Biden split the crucial Catholic vote, exit polls from The Associated Press showed.

The exit poll showed Trump got 50% of the Catholic vote, equal to his performance four years ago and slightly better than Biden's 49%. Biden, who is Catholic and attends Mass regularly, did 3 percentage points better with Catholics than 2016 Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton.

Here is the breakdown of how both fared with churchgoers:

• Trump beat Biden with Protestants 61%-38%, Mormons 71%-24%, and "other Christian" groups 57%-41%.
• Biden outpaced Trump by an overwhelming 68%-30% with Jewish voters.
• Trump did better than Biden with voters who attend church once a month, by a margin of 53%-45%, with voters who attend a few times a month 54%-45%, and with those who attend weekly 61%-37%. 
• Biden outpolled Trump with voters who never attend church 63%-35%, and with voters who attend a few times a year or less 52%-47%.
