O'Reilly to Obama: Make WH Red, White and Blue for July 4

By    |   Thursday, 02 July 2015 10:02 PM EDT

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly didn't like it when the White House was bathed in rainbow lights to celebrate the Supreme Court ruling affirming same-sex marriage, and he has a suggestion for July 4: Make it red, white and blue.

"I feel the People's House should be accessible to all Americans and political statements should not be made on that property," O'Reilly said on "The O'Reilly Factor" Thursday.

"Here is the Factor Tip of the Day directed to President Obama himself: How about on the Fourth of July, sir, we bathe the White House in red, white and blue?" O'Reilly said. "No politics, just honoring the independence of our country. We await your decision."
