Access Hollywood hosts jumped into the fray Monday to make clear the authenticity of the infamous Donald Trump-Billy Bush tape that first surfaced in October 2016.
Hosts Natalie Morales and Kit Hoover spent all of 20 seconds debunking any notion that the tape isn't real, an assertion that Trump reportedly made.
Hoover: "According to The New York Times, President Trump told two people that the Access Hollywood bus tape, the one where he bragged about grabbin' women by the you know what, is fake."
Morales: "Let us make this perfectly clear — the tape is very real. Remember his excuse at the time was 'locker room talk'? He said every one of those words."
Though Trump apologized for his lewd banter with Bush, then a host for the show, shortly after the tape surfaced, the Times reported that Trump has told two different people that the tape was not authentic.
However, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Monday said Trump's position hasn't changed about the video.
"The president hasn't changed his position," Sanders told reporters. "I think if anything, what the president questions is the media's reporting on that accurately."
