Neil Patrick Harris' dream of having a cameo on "American Horror Story" might come true after the popular FX show's co-creator acknowledged the actor's request on Twitter.
In an interview on EW Radio last week, the 41-year-old "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" Tony winner said he's a huge fan of the anthology series and would love a part on the upcoming season, "American Horror Story: Freak Show."
"I love magic. I love circus. I love juggling. I love crazy, random, freak show-stuff. I've always been drawn to it," Harris said. "Oh my gosh 'American Horror Story.' I wrote a letter to [co-creator] Ryan [Murphy] asking if I can be in it. He didn't respond."

Murphy, who must have heard Harris' interview, then reached out to the actor on Twitter.
Murphy is currently working on the fourth installment of "American Horror Story" and it wouldn’t be out of character for him to set aside a cameo for a big name. Stevie Nicks famously starred in an episode on the witch-themed "Coven" last season.
Meanwhile, Harris is wrapping up his last month of "Hedwig" performances on Broadway. It was announced recently that
Andrew Rannells, who has appeared on HBO's "Girls," will be taking over the role as of Aug. 20.
