Josh Duggar's child pornography trial, which was scheduled to commence in July, has been postponed until November.

The pre-trial conference will now take place on Nov. 18, and the trial on Nov. 30, Yahoo! Entertainment reported, citing documents filed in federal court in Arkansas on Tuesday. The decision was made to give Josh's legal team "reasonable time necessary for effective preparation."

The former reality TV star was arrested and charged in April on charges of downloading and possessing child pornography, some of which depicts the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12. Josh, who is facing up to 40 years in prison, has pleaded not guilty.

He was released on bail in May and ordered to stay with family friends. Josh was banned from using the internet and is wearing an electric monitor. Additionally, he may only see his kids provided his wife, who is pregnant with their seventh child, is present.

"It’s not the average defendant who can operate in the black web and partition their computer and bypass sophisticated monitoring devices," U.S. District Judge Christy Comstock said to Josh at the time, according to NBC News. "The evidence that the court has heard today is significant, and frankly, the victims of your crime — if you committed it — concern the court."

The latest court filing came the same day that TLC announced it would be canceling "Counting On," a show featuring members of the Duggar family, but not Josh, after 11 seasons.

"TLC will not be producing additional seasons of Counting On," the network said in a statement on Tuesday. "TLC feels it is important to give the Duggar family the opportunity to address their situation privately."

Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo and her husband Jeremy Vuolo said they supported the decision in a statement posted on Instagram.

"We are grateful for TLC giving us the opportunity to be on their network over the years and their kindness towards the Vuolo family. It's been a remarkable journey that has opened doors to traveling and experiencing the world in a way that we wouldn't have imagined possible," they wrote about the show.

"We wholeheartedly agree with TLC's decision not to renew 'Counting On' and are excited for the next chapter in our lives. We'd like to thank our fans, friends and the amazing film crew who have shown us love and support. We look forward to continuing our creative journey in Los Angeles and seeing what the future holds."
