Hafthór Björnsson, who played Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane on HBO's "Game of Thrones," bested a record set in a medieval Icelandic myth by carrying a 1,433-pound tree trunk five steps.
According to CBS Sports, Björnsson – who won the 2014 Europe Strongest Man Contest – undertook the feat at the annual World's Strongest Viking competition this past weekend.
The Icelandic Sagas tell the tale of Orm Storulfsson, who carried a 32-foot log three steps before it broke his back. In the tale, it took 50 mortal men to help hoist it onto his shoulders.
"Well, today my friends, I made history!," Bjornsson wrote on Instagram after carrying a similar log five steps.
"As well as winning the title of The World's Strongest Viking for the second time in a row, I carried this monster log 5 steps! My back held up fine! I'm on my way to my ultimate goal, to win The World's Strongest Man! Nothing can stop me! Nothing can break me!"
