A daughter stunned her mom this week by showing off her more than 140-pound weight loss in a surprise reunion on the "Today" show.
Maile Daly, who lives in Sonoma, California, said her mom, Abigail Lowe, inspired her to have bariatric surgery last September. Lowe, who lives in Hawaii, had gastric bypass herself in 2006 and lost nearly 100 pounds.

Daly chose to undergo a vertical sleeve gastrectomy nearly eight months ago and is down 146 pounds, but her mother never had the chance to see her amazing transformation in person.
But that all changed on Tuesday when the
women were reunited on NBC's "Today" show.
"Coming from 343 pounds I feel like a whole new woman," Daly, a mom of three, said before walking on set and surprising her own mother. "I hope that through my own weight-loss journey, my boys are young enough to reap the benefits of having two active parents in their life and learn how to live with a healthy lifestyle."
Daly then debuted her new figure in a black-and-white dress.
"Wow," Lowe said as she embraced her daughter. "You need to talk to me so I recognize you."
"Hi, mommy," Daly said. "My mom — I just wanted her to have this gift and I’m just so happy that I could share it with her."
"I love my daughter very much," Lowe responded. "I’m so happy for you."
"Today" later gifted the women a shopping spree at Macy's to build a brand new wardrobe for their smaller sizes.
