Cher's Son Elijah Blue Allman Arrested Again on Burglary Charges

By    |   Tuesday, 03 March 2026 10:46 AM EST

Cher's son, Elijah Blue Allman, 49, faces multiple criminal charges in New Hampshire following two arrests that occurred within days of each other, according to law enforcement reports.

In Windsor, police charged Elijah Allman with burglary, two counts of criminal mischief and breach of bail after officers responded March 1 to a 911 call from a woman who said someone had broken into her home while she hid in a closet, CBS News reported.

Authorities who arrived at the residence observed a shattered glass door. Inside, an officer found Elijah Allman "seated on the living room couch smoking a cigarette," according to CBS.

The Windsor Police Department confirmed to USA Today that Elijah Allman "did not have permission to be there and had forcibly entered the home."

Elijah Allman told officers he had permission to break the glass door and enter, but the 911 caller and her husband disputed that claim, police told CBS. The woman reported that nothing appeared to be missing from the house.

The breach-of-bail allegation stems from an earlier arrest in Concord.

On Feb. 27, authorities were notified that Elijah Allman was an "unwanted guest" at St. Paul's School, a boarding school with which he has no known affiliation, WMUR reported.

He was seen in the dining hall and was described as "causing a disturbance and acting belligerently."

Following that incident, Elijah Allman was charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct, according to WMUR.

He was later released on personal recognizance bail.

The recent arrests add to a series of legal developments involving the musician, who is the son of singer Cher and the late Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band.

In December 2023, Cher filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court seeking a conservatorship, alleging that her son suffered from "severe mental health and substance abuse issues."

In court documents, the Grammy Award-winning singer asserted that Elijah Allman was unable to manage his financial assets because of his struggles.

Elijah Allman objected in subsequent filings, and in September 2024, Cher withdrew her request to be appointed conservator.

Less than a year before the New Hampshire arrests, deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department responded to a Landers, California, residence regarding a man who was "acting erratically," the department said in a statement to USA Today at the time.

When authorities arrived, Elijah Allman was being evaluated by medical personnel. Deputies later found drugs inside the home, according to police. Elijah Allman has a decades-long history of substance abuse.
