Celine Dion's son, Rene-Charles Angelil known as the rapper Big Tip, appeared at the top of the R&B and Soul's "New & Hot" chart on Sound Cloud, according to "Entertainment Tonight," for for remixes of The Weeknd's songs "Sidewalks" and "Loft Music."
Angelil, 17, posted a screenshot of the chart, with the two songs at the top, on his Instagram page this week with the caption, "I woke up like dis … #ChartTopper."
Dion has expressed pride in her son to "ET" before.
"He's into music, he loves it," Dion told the show last year, adding he also had a passion for golf and hockey.
The Canadian Press reported that each song included original lyrics in which Angélil's shares his personal experience as the son of famous parents.
"Move to the desert, sweeter than some dessert, fake homies that deserted me, I do not deserve," the rapper rhymed on "Never Stop," per the Canadian Press.
Angelil is the son of singer Dion and her late husband-manager Rene Angelil, who guided her career since she was a teenager, according to Biography.com. The couple married in 1994 and gave birth to her oldest son after using vitro fertilization to conceive, the website said.
Rene Angelil died of cancer at 73 in 2016 at the family's home in Las Vegas. The couple also gave birth to twins, Nelson and Eddy, 7, Biography.com said.
Hello magazine reported that Dion, 50, recently had to cancel some of the shows in her Las Vegas residency due to flu and then for minor ear surgery to correct a hearing problem. In January, doctors had ordered the five-time Grammy winner to rest her voice due to an acute throat inflammation, AXS.com reported.
According to her website, Dion will be performing overseas in Asia this summer, starting in June with concerts in Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand, before wrapping up in Austraila and New Zealand in August.
