Celine Dion has canceled shows scheduled for March and April in Las Vegas in order to have surgery to correct a middle ear condition that has been affecting her ability to sing for the last 12 to 18 months.

Dion's social media accounts announced the cancellations Wednesday, telling fans she has been dealing with a Patulous Eustachian tube condition that causes hearing problems and affects singing ability.

Dion used a few different ear drop medications to try to treat the condition, but the medications have stopped working. The surgery is “minimally invasive,” the post said.

“My luck hasn’t been very good lately. ... I’ve been so looking forward to doing my shows again and this happens. ... I just can’t believe it!” Dion said on Facebook. “I apologize to everyone who planned to travel to Las Vegas to see my show. I know how disappointing this is, and I’m so sorry.”

Tickets purchased with credit cards will be refunded to purchasers, and cash buyers can get refunds by showing the tickets at the place of purchase, the post said.

Dion canceled seven concerts earlier in the year on her doctor’s orders after a lingering cold left her with irritated vocal chords.

Fans were disappointed but supportive of Dion.
