Just 36% of voters nationwide believe the federal government respects the right of every American to live their own life as they see fit. Ninety-seven percent (97%) of voters believe every American should have that right.[1]

A ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that 47% of men believe that the federal government respects that right to individual freedom. However, just 27% of women agree.

The survey also found that 54% of voters believe most Americans respect the right of other people to live their own life as they see fit. That total includes 70% of Republicans, 51% of Democrats, and 39% of Independent voters.
