Data from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) shows that approximately 1,400 Americans under the age of 26 earned more than a million dollars in 2016.
That total includes 930 who earned at least $1.5 million and 45 whose earnings topped $10 million.
Overall, those earning more than $75,000 were in the top 1 percent for their age cohort.
Eight out of 10 earned $25,000 or less.
