Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort agreed Friday to cooperate with Russia special counsel Robert Mueller under a plea deal to avoid a second trial after his conviction last month on bank and tax-fraud charges.
Manafort, 69, will cooperate with Mueller's investigation — and prosecutors told U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson that he had already begun providing information to the Justice Department.
