Twitter has added a warning label to a tweet from the chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin claiming that the state had been called for Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Ben Wikler tweeted on Wednesday morning, “Folks: Joe Biden just won Wisconsin,” after the former vice president went ahead of President Donald Trump by over 20,000 votes in the state.
Twitter added a label to the message reading: “Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process,” with a notice below the tweet stating, “Some votes may still need to be counted.”
As of Wednesday morning, no winner has been declared in Wisconsin by any major news organization.
