President Donald Trump took to Twitter to slam Susan Rice's refusal to testify before Congress at a hearing related to Russia's meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
While serving as national security adviser, Rice had requested the unmasking of some names in U.S. intelligence reports, CBS News reported. Some of those were involved in the Trump presidential transition, according to the network news.
She has denied ever requesting a name be unmasked for political reason.
The Senate Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism was informed by Rice's lawyer she would not attend the hearing because she objected to the fact she had not received a bipartisan invitation to appear, CBS News said.
