President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee have jointly raised $207.5 million since Election Day, the two organizations announced on Thursday.
The money comes from Donald J. Trump for President, the RNC, the two joint committees, Trump Victory and the Trump Make America Great Again Committee and Trump’s new political action committee founded after the election, Save America, the campaign announced on its website.
''These tremendous fundraising numbers show President Trump remains the leader and source of energy for the Republican Party and that his supporters are dedicated to fighting for the rightful, legal outcome of the 2020 general election,'' Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien said in the release.
''It also positions President Trump to continue leading the fight to clean up our corrupt elections process in so many areas around the country and to build on gains from the 2020 elections so we can take back the House and build on our Senate majority in 2022,'' he added.
Some of the $207.5 million was part of $495 million the entities raised since Oct. 15. The fundraising numbers were included in filings with the Federal Elections Commission for the period that ended Nov. 23. Save America’s total was not included in the $495 million, the campaign said.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said some of the money raised has been used to fund election challenges and to energize voter outreach for the U.S. Senate runoff elections in Georgia.
