President Donald Trump on Monday claimed the Obama administration's investigation into his presidential campaign was designed to "discredit" his candidacy "so Crooked H would win."
It's unclear what the president was referring to, given the absence of any known Obama-era investigation into the Trump presidential campaign in 2015.
However, it comes amid the news that special counsel Robert Mueller has subpoenaed documents and communications from a witness in his Russia investigation dating back to November of 2015.
Mueller seeks every piece of documentation between the witness and 10 people from the Trump campaign, including Trump himself.
Mueller, of course, is part of Trump's administration now, not Obama's.
