The Trump campaign began selling branded coronavirus facial coverings on Monday, offering three different styles and four colors.
Emblazoned with “Trump,” “MAGA” – a reference to his 2016 campaign slogan Make America Great Again popular with supporters, and “Trump/Pence 2020” in red, white, blue and military camouflage, the masks sell for $15 on the official Trump website.
The coverings are in contrast to those available on Amazon, many of which do not appear to be officially licensed.
The Trump campaign apparently has had the masks for more than a month and distributed them to staffers, including at his June rally in Oklahoma City.
The decision to sell the branded facewear comes more than two months after the Biden campaign began selling facemasks on its website.
Some Republican organizations have been selling branded masks, such as the Texas GOP party, since early May, TheHill.com reported.
