President Donald Trump on Wednesday took to Twitter to dish on Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal, making the rounds on the talk shows criticizing the president for firing FBI Director James Comey.
Blumenthal, D-Conn., earlier Wednesday on "Morning Joe" said Trump "may have committed treason" for his termination of Comey. Trump countered with a terse reminder of the fraud Blumenthal perpetrated back in 2010.
"What's needed is an independent, objective, impartial prosecutor. Because only a prosecutor can bring criminal charges and hold accountable the people who may have committed treason, or fraud, or lied to the FBI," Blumenthal said on "Morning Joe."
On Tuesday Blumenthal, member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, went on CNN saying this country is "facing a looming constitutional crisis" over Trump's decision to fire Comey.
