Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump by about 3 percentage points in the battleground state of Ohio on Election Night with about 60 percent of the votes counted.
Trump carried Ohio in 2016, and former President Barack Obama won the tossup state in 2008 and 2012.
No Republican has ever won the White House without winning Ohio. The last Democrat to win the White House without winning the state was John F. Kennedy in 1960.
Biden was leading big in Franklin County (50%), Hamilton County (40%), Montgomery County (20%) and Summit County (30%) as of 9:30 p.m. ET.
Biden led by as many as 9 percentage points earlier in the night when just 50% of the vote was counted.
The midwestern state has 18 electoral votes at stake in the presidential race.
