Democratic candidate Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump 53 percent to 43 percent, up by five percentage points in less than a month, according to a Fox News national survey.
About 70 percent of voters think American democracy is “in danger” in this election, including 8 out of 10 Biden supporters and 6 out of 10 Trump supporters.
Biden leads Trump by 39 percentage points among those saying coronavirus is the single most important factor in deciding their vote for president, 68-29 percent, while Trump is up by 12 percentage points among voters who say the economy is, 54-42 percent.
Both the coronavirus pandemic and the economy are tied at 44 percent in the poll as the most important factor for voters, followed by health care (34 percent), racism (26 percent) and the Supreme Court and violent crimes (both at 25 percent).
Healthcare is also the single most important factor for registered voters in deciding their vote for president, specifically 39 percent among Biden's supporters and 26 percent for Trump supporters. Meanwhile, 29 percent of Trump supporters say healthcare is the single most important factor compared with 23 percent of Biden supporters.
