Bacon, Eggs and Thank You – Ted Cruz to Salute His Supporters in Cleveland

Sen. Ted Cruz is set to stage a breakfast for Republican delegates who supported him for the GOP presidential nomination, The Los Angeles Times reports.

The early-morning "thank you" event will be held Wednesday at a waterfront restaurant overlooking Lake Erie in Cleveland, site of this week's Republican National Convention.

The Texas Republican suspended his candidacy on May 3 and has yet to endorse Trump, with whom he traded often-bitter swipes during the campaign.

"In this election I am where a great many voters are, which is that I am listening and watching and coming to a decision," Cruz told Politico on Sunday.

"This is a battle of ideas…. Most wars are not won in a single battle. What I'm looking forward to is changing the course this country is on. I don't know if that happens in this election cycle or not."
