State Dept Expands Visa Restriction Policy in Western Hemisphere

The U.S. State Department said ‌on Thursday ​it was expanding its visa restriction ⁠policy in ​the Western Hemisphere region ⁠and imposed restrictions on 26 individuals.

The policy ‌targets individuals ​working on behalf ‌of U.S. adversaries ‌to undermine American interests, the State Department said ⁠in a ‌statement.

"We ⁠have taken steps ⁠to ⁠impose visa restrictions on ‌26 individuals across our hemisphere who have ‌engaged ​in ‌these activities," it said.
