As the year 2015 comes to an end, Senate Republicans released a new video entitled "A New Approach," touting the party's success throughout the year,
Roll Call reports.
"Last November, the American people voted to break through Washington's gridlock and get Congress working again," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said in the opening of the four-minute video. "That's just what the new Republican majority you elected has done."
Featuring top leaders, committee chairmen, and vulnerable incumbents, the video, released by the Senate Republican Conference Committee Friday morning, notes key legislative achievements including the passage of a multi-year transportation funding bill, a rewrite of education laws, and human trafficking legislation.
It also serves a double purpose heading into an election year.
According to Roll Call, pointing out the party's success with pieces of legislation will help those GOP senators who are up for re-election.
The most vulnerable incumbents who appeared in the video include, Sens. Rob Portman of Ohio, Mark S. Kirk of Illinois, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Richard M. Burr of North Carolina and John McCain of Arizona.
