Former baseball star pitcher Curt Schilling said Tuesday that he was "considering" running against Sen. Elizabeth Warren in two years because the Massachusetts Democrat "embodies most of everything that's wrong with American politics."
"It's something I'm considering," Schilling, 49, the outspoken former Boston Red Sox pitcher told "The Howie Carr Show" on Newsmax TV. "I'm contemplating."
Warren, 67, was first elected to the Senate in 2012. She faces re-election in 2018.
"I'm trying to get her out of American politics. I like the thought of being in a position to sit down with constituents and take their concerns to Washington.
"I've never ever reacted to a comment to make someone who doesn't know me like me," he said.
"I don't care what people that don't know me think," said Schilling, who was fired from ESPN over remarks he made about transsexuals.

"I only care what my wife and my kids and people who know me [think]. They know my word.
"My word carries meaning in my family, with my friends.
"There are few politicians that we feel that way about anymore," Schilling said. "I think that's a crime."
